Schuylkill County Transportation Authority, in accordance with Title VI of the ADA, does not discriminate against individuals based on a disability. All of our vehicles are ADA accessible.
SCTA operates fixed route service on Monday through Saturday. If you require a reasonable accommodation in order to be able to access SCTA’s fixed route service then please make a request by contacting the Operations Director using the contact information below. SCTA reviews requests for reasonable accommodations on a case-by-case basis. Request may be denied if:
- Granting the request would fundamentally alter the nature of the authority’s service, programs, or activities;
- Granting the request could create a direct threat to the health or safety of others;
- Without such modifications, the individual with disability is otherwise able to fully use the authority’s service, programs, or activities for their intended purpose.
Appeal Process:
If a passenger wishes to appeal SCTA’s denial of a request for a reasonable accommodation, contact the Operations Director at the options listed below.

ADA Complementary Paratransit Service:
In accordance with ADA Regulations, SCTA offers ADA Complementary Paratransit Service for individuals who wish to travel with an origin and destination within 3/4 of a mile of a fixed route but cannot access and/or utilize our fixed route service due to a disability. This service is available within 3/4 mile of our fixed routes during the hours of fixed route operations. Operating hours are Monday through Friday 6:30 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
